CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Alice, established to cater to the healthcare needs of the local community, operates as a Level IV Trauma Center with a capacity of 186 beds, offering extensive medical and surgical services, including pediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency, and intensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meets the standards of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Conducts a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including more complex tasks, while employing appropriate techniques and providing clear procedural instructions to patients.
  • Assesses patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Follows established protocols, quality assurance guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Interacts effectively with patients and healthcare providers, coordinating and prioritizing procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and continuity.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to rotate among departments and clinics for adequate coverage.
  • Assists Radiologists or other medical professionals during invasive and fluoroscopic procedures, utilizing equipment to accurately identify anatomical locations.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, ensuring they are adequately stocked prior to procedures and complying with Infection Control standards.
  • Ensures accurate coding and entry of all charges.
  • Adapts patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to meet the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and developmental needs of each patient.
  • Performs all duties while safeguarding patient confidentiality and refraining from disclosing any confidential information unless necessary for job performance.
  • Exhibits commitment to the core values of CHRISTUS Health Care.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A. Education/Skills: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or an equivalent recognized institution required.
B. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Current registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required; current state licensure required; current BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
