Role Overview: A prominent employer in the engineering sector is seeking a seasoned Utility Annex HVAC Systems Engineer. This senior engineering role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities in project development, design, operations, installation, and upkeep of HVAC and Compressed Air systems. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy, overseeing specific equipment and systems while providing guidance to fellow HVAC engineers. Collaboration with technical craft personnel will be essential to ensure the optimal performance of assigned systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct design development, analysis, and review tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Offer mentorship and leadership to junior engineers.
  • Assist shop technicians and operators as required for the maintenance of assigned systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues as they occur.
  • Evaluate and rationalize preventive maintenance deferrals for HVAC and Compressed Air systems.
  • Perform readiness assessments on assigned equipment and systems.
  • Update and manage asset information in the Maximo database in accordance with the Maintenance Action Request (MAR) process.
  • Actively engage in System Health and Readiness Program (SHARP) teams.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to define system specifications and requirements.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation and specifications for systems and subsystems.
  • Interface with internal and external clients throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through to final design and commissioning.
  • Conduct site evaluations and experimental investigations to analyze engineering challenges, proposing viable solutions and alternatives.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards and testing protocols.
  • Support the development of technical proposals and review the technical content of proposed designs.
  • Draft task order requirements for Operations & Maintenance Documentation (OMD) updates as per contractual obligations.
  • Facilitate effective communication with CAD drafters, design engineers, and shop personnel.

Perform any additional duties as assigned or requested.
