We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Equipment Installation Coordinator to join our team at Workforce Recruiter. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading provider of industrial equipment for commercial laundry facilities, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, service, and repair of complex systems.

About the Role

As an Industrial Equipment Installation Coordinator, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of Field Service and Machine Technicians to ensure that goals or objectives of installation, service, repair, and equipment modifications work are accomplished within prescribed budget, time frame, purchase order, and customer requirements.

  • You will review project proposals or plans to determine time frames, purchase order parameters, procedures for accomplishing work, and schedules, as well as staffing requirements and allotment of available resources.
  • You will prepare installation quotes for sales, including machine proposals to customers, and establish work plans, select, assign, and schedule Service Technicians for each phase of the project, installation, service, or repair trip.
  • You will confer with resource staff to outline work plans and assign duties and responsibilities, ensuring that staff are properly trained and have the necessary tools to effectively implement the work plan.
  • You will direct, coordinate, and monitor activities of field service and machine technician personnel to ensure project installation, service, modifications, and repair work progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing status reports prepared by Service personnel and modifying schedules or plans as required.
  • Preparing Service reports for management, clients, or others.
  • Directing activities for the timely preparation of customer billing for service trips.
  • Offering technical solutions to resolve complex system installation requirements and application design issues.
  • Interfaces with manufacturers to resolve technical issues pertaining to equipment and parts design and installation.
  • Manages customer support helpline and extended hours support.
  • Provides technical support during major sales negotiations.
  • Works with parts and purchasing departments in troubleshooting and resolving problems.
  • Reviews existing equipment, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Commercial laundry equipment experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 5+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strengths in mechanical and electrical applications, input/output, analog/digital, pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, PLCs required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of interpreting complex technical instructions and managing abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to Travel up to 20%.
  • Clean Driver's License.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
