The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide clinical expertise and support to assigned patients at Valir Health, a Joint Commission accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility. This role requires a strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans in collaboration with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide high-quality patient care, including administering treatments, conducting exercises, and educating patients on self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Assist with training and education of new staff members and students.
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or related field.
- Current licensure in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure.
- 1 year of clinical experience in physical therapy, preferably in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform other physical demands of the job.
