Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Neurodiagnostics/Sleep Disorder Coordinator, we are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technologist to perform EEGs and contribute to the success of our team at North Oaks Medical Center.

Responsibilities
  • Measures and accurately applies electrodes in a timely manner, according to the international 10-20 System, ensuring that electrode impedances meet laboratory standards.
  • Obtains and documents comprehensive patient history, utilizing knowledge of basic infection control standards and EEG internet application for physician interpretation.
  • Performs EEG records according to department standards, implementing alternative methods or adjusting controls to obtain optimal recording, and documents, eliminates, or takes proper measures to monitor patient or environmental artifact.
  • Responds appropriately in emergency situations, demonstrating positive interpersonal skills with patients, patient families, department staff, physicians, and other hospital staff.
  • Maintains equipment in working order, troubleshooting equipment problems and reporting to supervisor promptly, and participates in conferences and technical meetings.
  • Follows North Oaks Health System's Compliance Program and Federal and State Regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
  • High School graduate, and graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technology Program, Polysomnographic Tech program, or equivalent training.
  • One year digital EEG experience is preferred.
  • Eligible for examination for registration by ABRET.
