Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at High Point Regional Hospital - Allied and Outpatient. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them correctly
  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and images
Requirements
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for specific units
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for all RN candidates
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP) certification
  • State License 1 Verification and NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification for Behavioral Health
  • NIH Stroke Certification for certain units
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) certification as specified
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam certification
  • Competency Exam certification
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam strongly encouraged for certain specialties
  • Orientation Training Documentation required for Allied and Outpatient travelers
Work Schedule

We offer a variety of shift options, including:

  • 1-Mon-Wed night shift MR position 7p-7a
  • 1- 7a-7p 3-12 hr shifts with on call every 5th Sunday and holidays
Requirements for Travelers

Travelers must provide:

  • NC DL must list address greater than 50 miles from facility
  • Driver's license must match the state of an RN's compact licensation
  • Alternate proof of residency will not be accepted
