SCOPE OF POSITION: Create a welcoming and efficient environment for preparing items for sale. Support sales floor staff and assist customers.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in a production setting is preferred.

Experience in a thrift store environment is preferred.

Retail sales experience is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist customers and donors in a courteous and helpful manner
  • Support production goals
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Accurately operate a cash register
  • Ensure timely stocking of products
  • Rotate merchandise appropriately
  • Perform additional tasks as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

All thrift store employees are required to wear the designated uniform while on duty. Employees must adhere to the dress code and are expected to maintain professionalism at all times.
