Position Summary

We are currently in search of a reliable and compassionate non-medical caregiver for immediate placement. The caregiver will be required to assist a client with various needs in Wexford, PA during the following shifts:

  • Wednesday through Sunday (1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. OR 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.)

Client Profile: The client has been diagnosed with Chronic Frailty, Fall Risk, Mobility Impairment, and Spina Bifida, resulting in paralysis from the waist down.

Note: The client is equipped with a hospital bed featuring a trapeze bar and a Hoyer lift. Regular catheterization is required every 3-4 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal preparation and light housekeeping duties
  • Laundry services and changing bed linens
  • Grocery shopping assistance
  • Providing companionship
  • Facilitating range of motion exercises
  • Assisting with bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Transporting to appointments and running errands
  • Providing walking and transfer support
  • Offering medication reminders
  • Supporting activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Assisting with ambulation
  • Changing incontinence products
  • Transportation services - a valid driver's license is required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience
  • Completion of a 2 Step TB Test
  • Successful completion of criminal background checks
  • Child clearances must be passed
