Senior Process Engineer - Operations

At NES Fircroft, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to oversee and optimize operations, ensuring the safe and efficient performance of plant processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Lead efforts to improve process efficiency, reliability, and performance through continuous assessment of plant operations and utilization of simulation tools.
  • Process Surveillance: Monitor and analyze daily plant operations to ensure optimal performance and early detection of any deviations or abnormalities.
  • HYSYS Simulation: Utilize HYSYS software to model process units, evaluate process performance, and provide insights into operational improvements.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Lead troubleshooting activities for process-related issues, including the identification of root causes and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to ensure seamless coordination in plant operations and project execution.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with company safety protocols and industry regulations. Lead risk assessments and hazard reviews (HAZOP) when necessary.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare detailed performance reports, including recommendations for improvements, based on process surveillance and analysis.
  • Training & Development: Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and operations staff to enhance their skills in process engineering and surveillance.
  • Project Support: Participate in or lead technical reviews for plant modifications and new project developments.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in process engineering within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy industries, with a focus on operations and surveillance.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in process simulation using HYSYS.
  • Strong background in operational surveillance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of process safety management (PSM) and hazard analysis.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects.
