Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the Engineering Department at Fincantieri Marine Group. As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for defining contract requirements, coordinating departmental resources, and assuming high-level roles within the department. You will work closely with the Director of Technical Services and other stakeholders to achieve business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement departmental strategies to meet business goals and objectives
• Coordinate departmental resources to achieve commitments
• Assume high-level roles within the department, including bid and proposal development
• Lead meetings with engineering personnel and other departments to establish and support business goals and objectives
• Interface with internal and external customers, regulatory agencies, and engineering subcontractors
• Report department performance to senior management

Requirements:

• Master's degree and 10-20 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 15 years of supervisory experience
• Experience using 2D and 3D CAD software to an intermediate level
• Current computer skills relevant to the field of competence, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Desired Qualifications:

• Additional supervisory and/or management degrees
• Technological skills proven by verifiable and specific work experience, technical publication, or patent issue
• Six Sigma or LEAN training desired
