At Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, we are seeking an experienced Fabrication Machinist II to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in fabricating parts using automated machines, applying your knowledge of shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, maintainability materials, and layout techniques.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires working on the second shift. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of related experience or education, including at least one year of experience with similar automated equipment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and operating automated machines to fabricate parts
  • Testing programs and ensuring machines are set up in accordance with drawings
  • Removing and/or replacing cutting tools and offsets as required
  • Inspecting condition of tools and replacing as needed
  • Manipulating programs to fit inserts into material, ensuring fit and conformity
  • Inspecting cut material/part prior to CNC operation to ensure conformity and compliance with blueprints, models, and/or engineering documents
  • Identifying material and appropriate cutting tools
  • Setting up material and inspecting for serviceability

You will also be responsible for monitoring material supply, validating preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines, completing paperwork and other documents as required, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and complying with 5S and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
