Job Title: Adjunct Faculty Music Recording

InsideHigherEd is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty Music Recording to join our team. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching classes in Music Recording, including both 100 and 200 level coursework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and conduct classes during scheduled times using Department-approved text(s).
  • Meet classes on all scheduled dates during the assigned semester and hold classes for their fully allotted time.
  • Use appropriate classroom management techniques and means and methods of technology.
  • Create and evaluate assignments, evaluative measures, and activities appropriate to the class.
  • Assign grades to student work and return graded assignments, evaluative measures, and activities to students in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of student attendance and report student attendance as required.
  • Administer course evaluations as instructed by the College.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional schooling and professional experience required.
  • Certifications and/or experience with audio recording and production software such as Pro Tools, LE/HD, WAVES Plug-ins, Reason, and Apple Logic.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of students and integrate diverse methodologies to facilitate student learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in live sound reinforcement, surround sound mixing, and running a Commercial recording studio.
