MedSurg Nurse Job Description

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg team in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
  • Develop individual nursing plans of care, coordinate patient care activities, and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies.
  • Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and/or surgical patients.
  • Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patients' response to treatment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience, including recent MedSurg bedside experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
  • Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
