We are seeking a skilled Barrel Hand to join our team at Luxco, Inc. in Bardstown, KY. As a key member of our distillery operations team, you will be responsible for receiving, filling, and placing barrels in our warehouse, as well as performing inspections and minor coopering tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Filling barrels from process tanks, dumping aged barrels for tanker load-out, and reducing process tanks to desired proof.
• Manually handling 500 lb. barrels of spirits into and out of warehouses.
• Completing barrel inventory and audit sheets daily, placing newly filled barrels in warehouse ricks, and maintaining good housekeeping in process rooms and warehouses.
• Heading-up barrels in trucks for transport to warehouse/off-site locations using a grasshopper and driving a 53-foot spot truck and trailer to and from warehouses.

Requirements:

• A minimum of two years relevant experience.
• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Physical demands requiring lifting of 50 pounds or more at times and moving 500 pound barrels.
• Possessing a CDL is preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
