Job Summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled Physician Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health Department. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care services to our patients, working collaboratively with staff to deliver comprehensive services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct face-to-face psychiatric evaluations to determine diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing medication review services to assess the effects of prescribed medications.
  • Consult with Behavioral Health clinical staff and medical providers to review cases and provide recommendations on diagnosis, medications, and treatment considerations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document patient interactions, including psychiatric evaluations, medication reviews, and other client contacts.
  • Supervise and train assigned staff and paraprofessionals to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • Collaborate with administrative personnel, including Medical and Behavioral Directors, to ensure effective program operations.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an approved Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) three-year residency training program in Psychiatry.
  • Washington State License to practice as a Psychiatrist.
  • Three or more years of experience providing psychiatric services.
  • Familiarity with Washington mental health law and involuntary treatment procedures.
Conditions of Employment
  • Must sign an oath of permanent confidentiality covering all patient-related information.
  • Must undergo a background check from DSHS and Washington State Patrol.
  • Must comply with all ethical standards of Sea Mar and those required by DOH (Washington State Department of Health).
  • Must have no history or evidence of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three years immediately prior to employment and during employment at Sea Mar Community Health Center.
