As an Avionics Systems Specialist at Air Methods LLC, you will play a crucial role in the success of our Certificated Repair Station. Your primary responsibilities will include the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems and equipment installed in our company aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate, assemble, install, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
- Fabricate avionics, electrical, and medical systems to engineering schematic specifications.
- Operational test avionics, electrical, and medical systems per manufacturer's instructions.
- Perform build-up activities related to electrical installations, including parts recording, harness fabrication, continuity testing, and securing in aircraft.
- Troubleshoot electrical schematics when necessary.
- Assist in design activities, including planning installation/repair modifications.
- Assist with planning and documenting in-flight testing, certification, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Assist in FAA repair station documentation, including action procedures, work orders, FAA Form 337's, aircraft weight and balance, equipment list changes, log book entries, parts recording, and documentation changes.
- Order parts and supplies for the department, maintain necessary stock levels, and evaluate parts for repair/restock.
- Maintain the upkeep of the work area, equipment, and materials.
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and two to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Formal Electronics/Avionics Training.
- Helicopter experience preferred.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency in the use of tools applicable to performing Avionics repairs and alterations.
- Ability to work with a team and as an individual with little supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with others.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- FCC License, FAA Airframe and Power license (required), and/or FAA repairman certificate.
