Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing patients for examination and treatment, obtaining and recording patients' chief complaints, current medications, vital signs, pain screening, and allergies. You will also assist physicians with examinations, tests, procedures, and office-based surgery, as well as prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the physician.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for examination and treatment
Obtain and record patients' chief complaints, current medications, vital signs, pain screening, and allergies
Assist physicians with examinations, tests, procedures, and office-based surgery
Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the physician
Receive and return clinically-related telephone calls

Requirements
Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is preferred
No experience required
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: Job Related Certification from one of the following: CMA (AAMA); RMA (AMT); CCMA(NHA); NCMA (NCCT); RMA (ARMA); NRCMA (NAHP); or RMA (AAMP)
