About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our team at Span Construction. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Program Development: Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of Company-wide and project-specific safety programs.
  • Safety Training and Education: Conduct training for employees to develop safe work plans for all project phases and tasks.
  • Incident Investigation and Analysis: Conduct incident investigations, perform root cause analyses, and assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions and programs.
  • Safety Equipment and Inspections: Inspect safety equipment and recommend replacements.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Assist in developing site-specific emergency evacuation plans and other emergency response plans.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field strongly preferred but not required.
  • Experience: 1-5 years of construction safety experience, with experience overseeing large commercial and/or industrial projects.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30 and First Aid Certified, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, strong communication and leadership skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
