Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Full-Time Role
Overview:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of patients; manage and treat ailments related to gastrointestinal health in both inpatient and outpatient environments, including initial consultations, follow-up visits, and patient education.
- Address a variety of conditions associated with the digestive system, liver functionality, and esophagus, including but not limited to: Barrett's Esophagus, Colorectal Cancer Screening, Colonoscopy, Capsule Endoscopy, ERCP, GERD, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Liver Disorders, and Upper GI Issues.
- Primary hospitals for this role include AdventHealth Minneola and Winter Garden.
- Order and interpret necessary diagnostic examinations, such as standard laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Oversee the patient's treatment trajectory and refer to a physician or specialist when necessary.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and healthcare staff to ensure cohesive patient care and support for team members.
- Exhibit a compassionate and professional demeanor consistently while fostering personal and professional development.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and the community.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills are essential.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Primary Locations: Minneola & Clermont.
- On-call duties required – one weekend per month (minimum).
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology.
- Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner studies.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current and valid Florida APRN license.
- Certification from ANCC (or equivalent) or NCCPA.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- DEA License.
