Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Knowles Corporation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating parts required for tooling fixtures in accordance with engineering and manufacturing specifications. This will involve bending, shearing, cutting, and forming sheet and structural materials using various equipment such as CNC laser cutters, shear machines, punch presses, and brake presses.

In addition to fabrication skills, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with production supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth production processes.

• Follow all safety rules, company policies, and procedures.
• Read and understand work order packets and related documentation to determine what work needs completed and the appropriate processes to be used.
• Read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Obtain correct materials identified in the work order packet.
• Communicate with production supervisors regarding any non-conformances in shop materials, instructions, or other irregularities.

• 0-2 years of experience or equivalent training in fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and understand manufacturing documents.
• Must have good math skills and be able to read/use a ruler, tape measure, calipers, and micrometers.
• Ability to define basic/routine problems, evaluate, and establish facts and seek solutions to problems.
• Full body movement.
• Ability to lift/move, carry, push, and/or pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Be able to stand for extended periods of time (5+ hours a day).
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
