The Department of Veterans Affairs provides comprehensive mental health services to veterans across the Pacific Islands. As a Psychiatrist, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering high-quality care to our nation's heroes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychiatric services, including psychotherapy and psychopharmacotherapy, to veteran patients.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Participate in team meetings, committees, and other assigned duties as a member of the medical staff.
  • Order diagnostic tests and consultations related to psychiatric issues and make appropriate treatment decisions.
  • Perform on-call duties and maintain availability for consultation as needed.
  • Document care in the electronic health record and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Conduct evidence-based groups in collaboration with staff from other disciplines.
  • Provide education and information to veterans engaged in treatment and their relevant family members or care partners.
Requirements:
  • Must have a full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
  • Must be board certified in psychiatry.
  • Must be able to use distinct medical record systems for outpatient and inpatient care interchangeably.
