Position Overview:
Soliant is in search of a committed and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to work with middle school students in a supportive educational setting. This role is designed for educators who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute personalized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique requirements of each student.
- Deliver direct instruction and assistance to students with various disabilities, ensuring they have access to the general curriculum.
- Collaborate with general education instructors, families, and other specialists to enhance student achievement and welfare.
- Evaluate and track student performance, adjusting teaching methods based on data-driven insights.
- Maintain thorough and current documentation of student progress, IEPs, and other necessary records.
- Establish and nurture a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student participation and success.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions and assist in setting educational objectives and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois.
- Holding a valid Illinois Special Education (SPED) license.
- Proven experience and/or a strong foundation in special education, particularly with middle school learners.
- Exceptional communication abilities and a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and educational staff.
- Strong organizational capabilities and the skill to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
- A dedication to fostering a supportive and productive learning environment for students with varied needs.
