Oncology Nurse

Roane General Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology/Infusion Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care, including chemotherapy and other intravenous medication administration, hydration therapy, and transfusion therapy. You will also be responsible for managing peripheral, mid-line, and central lines, as well as performing suprapubic and Foley catheter changes, wound care, and colostomy care. Additionally, you will educate patients and their families on treatment options and provide follow-up care. To be successful in this role, you will need a strong assessment and intravenous access skills, as well as advanced computer skills. A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience is required, with a preference for five years of experience and previous infusion/hematology/oncology experience. Certification as CRNI, OCN, BMTCN, or advanced intravenous therapy access insertion is also preferred. Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Current West Virginia license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associate's degree from a college or university required
- Two years of clinical nursing experience
- Strong assessment and intravenous access skills
- Advanced computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Five years of clinical nursing experience
- Previous infusion/hematology/oncology experience
- Certification as CRNI, OCN, BMTCN, or advanced intravenous therapy access insertion
