As a clinically practicing physician with expertise in Infectious Disease Medicine, you will oversee the development, application, and maintenance of certification of the fellowship program in compliance with ACGME requirements.
Responsibilities:- Design, organize, and direct the Infectious Disease Fellowship Program at TidalHealth.
- Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with ACGME Institutional and Program Requirements.
- Participate in Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) meetings and internal review panels as requested.
- Develop and oversee education and clinical care in all program-related patient care areas.
- Maintain active clinical practice in Infectious Disease Medicine.
- Recruit, interview, and select Infectious Disease fellows.
- Submit reports on program, faculty, and fellow performance to the GMEC as requested.
- Ensure the implementation of fair policies, grievance procedures, and due process.
- Prepare for and participate in on-site program reviews.
- Clinically practicing physician with current board certification in Infectious Disease Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.
- Eligible for unrestricted Active Medical Staff Privileges.
- Expertise in the clinical practice of Infectious Disease Medicine.
- Knowledge and understanding of ACGME-accredited program requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to teach and demonstrate professional behaviors.
- Ability to manage a departmental budget and staff.
