Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a licensed Intervention Specialist to join our team as a Virtual Intervention Specialist. This contract position offers the flexibility to create your own schedule and the autonomy to design individualized interventions for each student.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments to identify students' strengths, challenges, and intervention needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to support students' academic and behavioral goals.
- Provide direct intervention services to students through teletherapy platforms, utilizing evidence-based strategies and interventions.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and review of student goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of intervention sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Ohio state licensure as an Intervention Specialist or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a teletherapy or virtual setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and team members.
- Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms and technology to deliver services remotely.
