Job Summary:

Mammography Technologist is a vital role in providing quality patient care while performing a wide variety of mammographic procedures. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of mammographic procedures using independent judgment to provide quality patient care
• Operate radiographic and support equipment, including mammographic, ultrasound, and stereotactic breast biopsy machines
• Protect patients from undue exposure to radiation by using lead shields and safety factors
• Select the proper film size, collimate, and position equipment to produce clear, undistorted diagnostic radiographs
• Assist radiologists in performing and producing fluoroscopic procedures
• Maintain mammography equipment and components, replacing emergency trays and supplies as needed
• Identify abnormal anatomy and pathologic processes in assessing patients for procedures
• Maintain Quality Control/Quality Assurance in accordance with MQSA programs and ACR, FDA, and TDH standards and regulations
• Demonstrate competence in patient care responsibilities and adapt care methods to accommodate patient needs
• Adhere to the CORE VALUES of CHRISTUS Health
• Perform other duties as assigned Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology preferred
• 1 year experience in Mammography required
• Registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography and Mammography required
• Current state licensure required
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) required Work Schedule:
