ESL Instructor

At OneWorld Community Health Centers, Inc., we are dedicated to improving patient health outcomes by addressing the social determinants of health, including education. Our Learning Community Center of South Omaha (LCCSO) works with children and families to challenge the opportunity gap through early childhood education, family engagement, and future teacher preparation. We are seeking a mission-driven English as a Second Language Instructor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach ESL (English as a Second Language) to groups of parents with varying English proficiency and literacy levels.
• Collaborate with the Learning Community Center's instructional manager to develop and implement long-term strategies for supporting parents in their children's education.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
• Provide individualized support and guidance to students as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred.
• Bilingual in English and another language, with the ability to speak basic Spanish preferred.
• Related teaching experience and certification in teaching English as a Second Language required.
• Ability to accommodate the learning needs of non-traditional, diverse student populations.
• Outstanding personal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with technology in facilitating instruction.
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
