Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Intensive Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at North Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This is a long-term contract position, requiring a dedicated and passionate nurse who can commit to a 13-week assignment. You will be working as a Charge Nurse on the 3N Tele unit, overseeing a team of RNs, LVNs, and PCTs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a strong background in telemetry and hospital settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care, prioritizing their needs and well-being
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and efficient patient flow
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to hospital policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • BLS certification and hospital experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or similar environments
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
