At Leidos, we are seeking a highly skilled Marine Mechanical Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the USCG Surface Force Logistics Center (SFLC) in Glen Burnie, MD.

This is a hybrid position that requires 2-3 days of onsite support at SFLC per week. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and support of new and existing USCG acquisitions, including small boats, cutters, and icebreakers.

About the Role:
  • Provide marine engineering support for shipboard Auxiliary systems, including distributive piping, engine support, and HVAC systems.
  • Evaluate the effect of new or modified subsystems on overall system performance.
  • Perform trade-off and engineering analyses to support equipment modernizations, mid-life retrofits, repairs, and other sustainment tasks.
  • Interface directly with USCG and shipyard personnel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technical, Engineering, or Marine degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years' documented experience relating to the design of marine systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
