Job Summary

HealthPoint (Washington) is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Consultant to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing population-based care services within the primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and other team members to identify, triage, and co-manage patients with medical and behavioral health problems.
  • Provide brief behavioral health visits and warm handoff opportunities to assess patient level of functioning and possible risk level.
  • Work with primary care providers to refer cases to mental health specialists as appropriate and bridge care to these patients until they are successful in connecting with more traditional mental health services.
  • Teach patients evidence-supported interventions to assist in self-care, preventive medicine, quality of life improvement, and improved functionality.
  • Conduct, design, and co-lead group classes and group visits to promote skill building, education, and improved health for patients.
  • Monitor the site's behavioral health program, identifying problems related to patient services, making recommendations for quality improvement and clinical pathways, and identifying linkages to beneficial community resources and external specialty services.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology.
  • Washington licensed/license eligible.
  • Experience in a healthcare/medical setting is required.
  • Obtain LMHC-A mental health license before starting work.
  • Obtain and maintain a Masters-level counseling license valid in Washington State.
  • Must continue to work on Psychologist Licensure in Washington State.
  • Beginning level of Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
