Job Summary

Claratel Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled Lead Psychiatrist to join our DeKalb Regional Crisis Center team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide psychiatric and medical supervision, direct care, and leadership to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric and medical supervision to the Crisis Center team
  • Deliver direct psychiatric care to clients, including evaluations, crisis management, therapy, medication management, and medical care
  • Collaborate with the Director to ensure high-quality medical and psychiatric care
  • Develop and update behavioral health medical policies
  • Use data to drive performance improvement and support data-driven strategies
  • Perform clinical quality care reviews and provide clinical expertise and direction
  • Provide clinical supervision and set schedules for APRN medical staff
  • Act as delegated physician of record for APRNs
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Board eligible or certified in psychiatry, with a license to practice medicine in Georgia or eligibility
  • Proficiency in using an Electronic Health Record
  • Ability to promote a person-centered, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed philosophy in client care
