Position Overview:
At SSM Health, we believe in the power of healing and the importance of providing exceptional care. As a Certified Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in the evaluation and treatment of patients requiring respiratory support.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatments, developing tailored care plans based on individual diagnoses.
2. Deliver respiratory care services following physician orders and departmental protocols.
3. Monitor and document patient conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
4. Educate patients and their families about respiratory health, providing resources for community support.
5. Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning correctly and safely.
6. Participate in emergency response situations, remaining vigilant and ready to act.

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively and engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, and lifting.
- Capability to use vision and hearing to monitor patient conditions and equipment.
