About the Role

  • As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health.
  • You will work closely with our dental team to deliver high-quality services and ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Our ideal candidate will have a strong passion for dentistry and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough dental exams and cleanings to identify and address oral health issues.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and habits.
  • Collaborate with our dental team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient practice operations.

Requirements

  • Current dental hygienist license in Ohio and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
  • CPR Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
  • Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
