Job Description

Mid-American Steel and Wire is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems.
  • Perform systems management and integration functions.
  • Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture.
  • Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems.
  • Monitor system operation to detect potential problems.
  • Perform ongoing hardware and software maintenance operations, including installing or upgrading hardware or software.
  • Establish functional or system standards to ensure operational requirements, quality requirements, and design constraints are addressed.
  • Evaluate existing systems to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to meet organizational requirements.
  • Train system users in system operation or maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain production machinery.

Work Environment

The employee will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The indoor environment is not climate controlled. The employee will be exposed to vibration, hot materials, and loud noise.

Role Relationships

The employee will work with a team, coordinate or lead others, and deal with external visitors or vendors.

Work Attire

The employee will wear common protective or safety equipment such as metatarsal boots, glasses, gloves, fire retardant uniforms, hard hats, and hearing protection.

Tools and Technology

The employee will use mobile equipment, power tools, hand tools, and other tools required in the production process. The employee will also use computers and mobile devices, printers, copy machines, fax machines or scanners, database software, recordkeeping software, email software, and other technology.
