About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Corporate Receptionist to join our team at Northwest Center. As the first point of contact for our visitors and employees, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service and support to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and welcoming greetings to all employees and visitors, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Issue visitor badges and determine the nature of their visit, notifying the appropriate person as needed.
  • Offer services to guests, including stowing luggage and coats, issuing loaner badges, and making transportation reservations as requested.
  • Assist Amazon's recruiting department by issuing and collecting Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and verifying their completion.
  • Direct new hires and temporary employees to the Security Badge Office for employee badging.
  • Answer incoming calls, determine the caller's needs, and transfer to the appropriate person or department.
  • Subscribe to reception email lists and respond to all emails in a timely manner.
  • Follow proper procedures to hang and maintain customer posters in all buildings.
  • Manage the distribution of LCD projectors, including monitoring emails for reservation requests and updating Outlook calendars with the status of reservations.
  • Distribute assets for Amazon employees, including keys, access cards, and parking items, and update associated logs.
  • Distribute Amazon paychecks, ensuring employees sign the paycheck log and verifying with your signature or initials.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of reception forms and supplies, reporting to your supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Assist employees with catering deliveries, including getting a cart for them or helping to carry items to their meeting location.
  • Create a remedy ticket for any facility issues brought to your attention.
  • Call security as needed for assistance and follow proper escalation procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily set-up and/or tear down of the Banana Stand, including occasional decorations.
  • Unload bananas from boxes into crates, keeping the stand full and plentiful, and sort out any bruised or damaged bananas.
  • Track daily metrics in tracking software, including comments, general inquiries, and public response.
Requirements
  • One (1+) year of experience in customer service, call center, or administrative support.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively deescalate situations with dissatisfied customers.
  • Strong conflict resolution, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and follow Northwest Center (NWC) and Amazon's Policies and Procedures.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Ability to frequently carry and lift a backpack containing a laptop and other supplies, up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move consistently within a 1.5 radius is required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including occasionally arriving early, staying late on a moment's notice, and occasional evening and weekend shifts.
  • This is a dog-friendly environment with over 1000 dogs on campus. Individuals with dog allergies or those who do not particularly care for dogs may not be the best fit.
