About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Ridgeview Institute Smyrna. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, according to approved menus and production sheets.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that ingredients and supplies are properly stored and handled.
  • Adapt to high-pressure situations and busy service periods, maintaining a positive attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least two years of experience in quantity cooking, with a basic knowledge of modified diets and food service sanitation.
  • Training in food service sanitation and possession of a food service food handler's permit.
  • Experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Some prior kitchen supervisory experience is helpful.
