Cardiac Sonographer

Dignity Health's Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC) is a non-profit Community clinic organization comprised of more than 40 health centers located primarily from Ventura to Templeton spanning the coast. Our experienced physicians and advanced practice providers offer a wide range of primary and specialty care services. PHC is a part of Dignity Health Central Coast's award-winning network of outstanding hospitals imaging centers laboratories and post-acute services.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician.
- Operate all ultrasound equipment computers and accessories.
- Demonstrate competency in film-processing procedures.
- Identify and initiate accurate assessment of life-threatening conditions.
- Interview patients for pertinent medical history and obtain consents on patients prior to performing studies as required.
- Three (3) years experience performing Ultrasound procedures in an outpatient facility if not RDMS.
- RDCS or RCS or RYT or RDMS or ARDMS.
- Demonstrate knowledge in both general and cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
- Must have working knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures.
- Must also know departmental protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members physicians and the patient population.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team-oriented environment.
$56.83 - $82.40 /hour
