Job Summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team of experts in the field of nuclear energy. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and development of nuclear reactors and related systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for nuclear reactors and related systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and analyses.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Travel to project sites as required (less than 20% of time).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited, four-year university.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in design engineering, preferably in the nuclear industry.
  • Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and other relevant industry standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce error-free documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with industry codes and design practices.
