Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Focus Staff. As a Traveling Cath Lab Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and Interpret Cardiac Rhythms: Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and interpret EKG readings to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Run and Post Rhythm Stripes: Run EKG tests and post rhythm stripes at designated intervals to track patients' cardiac activity.
  • Validate Computer Readouts: Verify computer-generated EKG readings to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Check and Verify Lead Placement: Ensure proper lead placement on patients to ensure accurate EKG readings.
  • Notify Nursing Staff of Changes: Inform nursing staff of any changes in cardiac rhythm or other relevant information.
  • Test Equipment for Proper Working Order: Regularly test EKG equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Work Area: Ensure the work area is clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: 2+ years of experience as an EKG Technologist or Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Independent Decision-Making Skills: Ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid Understanding of Patient Safety: Strong knowledge of patient safety protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Ability to Work Cooperatively: Ability to work cooperatively with other employees to achieve common goals.
  • Regular Attendance: Ability to maintain regular attendance and be punctual.
