Job Summary:

The Patient Activity Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center meet participant needs. This includes scheduling meeting rooms and fitness rooms for pre-programmed classes, activities and/or events, as well as planning, promoting and coordinating programs to provide members with a variety of fitness activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Wellness Center meeting rooms and fitness rooms for pre-programmed classes, activities and/or events
  • Plan, promote and coordinate programs to provide members with a variety of fitness activities
  • Greet patients, verify insurance coverage and eligibility, review new patient registration, and enter new patient information into the computer system
  • Perform basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks

Requirements:

  • Experience in a previous position planning and/or coordinating events for patients/clients
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Excellent customer service and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently under general instructions and with a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer skills - including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management, and organizational skills
  • Able to communicate effectively/professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization
