Job Summary:
Synerfac is seeking a skilled Assembly Mechanic to join our team in the Montgomery County area. As an Assembly Mechanic, you will play a critical role in coordinating all activities required to effectively lay out work, set up appropriate machines or equipment to meet or exceed assembly demands and customer requirements per design specifications and published schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and production.
- Operate power tools and equipment such as band saws, table saws, manual hand brakes, drills, grinders, and other machinery to efficiently complete tasks.
- Handle and work with various types of materials, including felt insulation, ceramic, graphite, carbon fiber, molybdenum, stainless steel, carbon steel, and other materials.
- Document work processes, issues, and usage of materials or excess materials/parts to maintain accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with team leaders and supervisors through various forms of communication.
- Organize work areas and maintain a clean and safe environment daily.
- Work with minimal supervision to accurately accomplish any given task.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year related assembly experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School Degree or GED equivalent.
- Experience working with forklifts preferred.
- Ability to read written instructions.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
- Knowledge of basic concepts of geometry.
- Ability to apply a common sense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Forklift and overhead crane training and certification preferred.
