Job Title: Building Enclosure Inspector

Job Overview:

Our Building Enclosure Inspector will be working out of Geotest, an RMA company. GeoTest provides a wide range of services for clients in both public and private development, supporting the entire building project lifecycle. We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Building Science Department in the Northwest Region.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct performance testing of buildings and building components, including air leakage tests, infrared thermography, fenestration tests, and joint sealant tests.
  • Perform inspections of building envelope components, including vapor barriers, waterproofing, air barriers, WRB, insulation, cladding, roofing, and flashing.
  • Develop and maintain a strong fundamental understanding of relevant testing standards and procedures.
  • Represent GeoTest in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with clients and contractors.
  • Integrate with other GeoTest departments to support project specifications and schedules.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in building science, related construction, and/or inspection.
  • Familiarity with building framing, sheathing, and/or roofing components.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professionally appropriate computer skills for report generation.
  • Fundamental report writing skills.
  • Comfort with basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction project plans and specifications.
  • Experience working on large commercial construction sites.
  • Experience performing multi-fan air leakage tests on large commercial buildings.
  • IIBEC credentials (RRO, REWO, or other).
