Cobblestone Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities- Prepare exam rooms for incoming patients, adhering to OSHA guidelines
- Assist in restraining pets to minimize stress and ensure patient safety
- Take accurate notes and medical histories of patients for our veterinarians
- Anticipate the needs of our veterinarians during routine exams and surgeries
- Perform various tasks, including taking temperatures, samples, and vitals, as requested by our veterinarians
- Animal care and handling experience
- Restraint techniques and client interaction skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior and body language
- Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and lab work
