Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations, instructing medical personnel in the technical performance and clinical application of cardiac ultrasound, and acting as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret cardiac ultrasound procedures
  • Maintain daily operations of the department
  • Train medical personnel and provide patient education
  • Complete all documentation requirements
  • Adhere to department policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, confidentiality, quality of care, and efficiency
  • Fulfill competencies required by the department and hospital
  • Coordinate departmental in-services and educational information sharing
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiac Ultrasound program and/or significant clinical experience
  • Minimum of two years (full-time) experience in the performance of all cardiac ultrasound procedures for adults
  • RDCS or CCI status is required by the department
  • BCLS certification
