Advanced Practitioner

Southcoast Health is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practitioner to join our team. As a Family Medicine Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with patients and families to develop and implement treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Perform episodic illness visits and follow-up care visits, including laboratory testing, radiology testing, and immunizations.
- Formulate diagnoses based on clinical assessment and establish timely treatment plans.
- Select and order appropriate medication for treatment of medical conditions.
- Review diagnostic tests and procedures ordered, as it relates to follow-up care.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A. approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
- Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License is required.
- Advanced Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Certification required or to be achieved within first year of employment as an ONP.
- Minimum one year experience as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) required.
- One year experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
