Job Summary

Texoma Community Center is seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Substance Abuse Counselor. As a key member of our outpatient treatment team, you will work with individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues. Your expertise and compassion will help clients achieve recovery and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to clients in our outpatient substance abuse program
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with client needs and goals
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as contract and licensing requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work (Master's preferred)
  • Completion of coursework for the Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or other approved graduate program
  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or addiction issues (desirable)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to speak a second language relevant to the population served (preferred)
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
