About the Role:

This position is responsible for providing patient care and support services in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will have a certification as a Nurse's Aide and experience working in patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist doctors and nurses with general care and well-being of patients
  • Position, transfer, and move patients safely
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respirations
  • Observe patients and report any unusual symptoms or behavior
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
  • Transport patients, specimens, and other related patient items
  • Prepare reports and correspondence, including necessary forms and requisitions

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Nurse's Aide
  • Experience working in patient care, preferably in a long-term care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with patients who have physical or chronic illnesses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (nursing home)
  • Experience caring for patients with dementia or behavioral health issues
