Job Summary:
MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our Intensive Care Unit team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the unit, ensuring the provision of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate the nursing and patient care delivery of the unit-based professional and support personnel.
- Ensure the provision of holistic, culturally competent, and person-centered care for patients and families.
- Apply the nursing process within the context of the organization's shared/collaborative decision-making framework.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing in maintaining adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards, and MedStar Health's policies and procedures.
- Foster associates' commitment to improving quality, safety, and cost-conscious patient care outcomes.
Requirements:
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- 3-5 years of critical care/neuro critical care experience preferred.
- Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
