Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Oncology Specialist to join our team at PRN Healthcare Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients with various health problems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients with complex health issues, including those requiring PICC line placement and instruction.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients and their families, ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to home.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to manage complications and provide education on patient care.
  • Document patient responses to interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting all changes in physician orders.
  • Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary to ensure patient safety.
  • Interact with patients and families to provide education on hospital procedures and care plans.
  • Make referrals to appropriate personnel regarding patient care needs.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Current RN License issued by the state board of nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS - American Heart Association.
  • Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
