Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Health Aide/Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Open Arms Home Care. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support and care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene, physical comfort, and nutritional needs to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers regarding client needs and services provided.
  • Utilize techniques of positioning, body mechanics, and body alignment to promote client comfort and well-being.
  • Ensure client rights, including confidentiality of care, are respected and maintained.
  • Conduct services in a caring, professional, and ethical manner at all times.
  • Assist with performance of procedures to ensure client physical well-being and comfort.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and participate in emergency response planning.
  • Participate in client service planning and scheduling with office staff and coordinators.
  • Submit accurate and timely documentation for billing and payroll purposes.
  • Work independently, prioritizing schedule of visits with minimal supervision.
  • Be dependable and able to report to assignments on time, with flexibility to work variable shifts and weekends as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum age of 18 years required.
  • Good verbal, written, and reading skills in English.
  • Ability to drive yourself to and from assignments.
  • Previous experience applicable to position.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish a plus.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
